There are several ways to access cases in LeaveXpert:  the cases grid, the employee case listing, global search, or jump to case.

Cases Grid

The first option under the LeaveXpert menu item is Cases.  Clicking on this option will take you to the Cases grid.  By default, this grid will display all Open cases available to the user.  For a Leave Specialist this will display only their cases assigned; for a Program Manager or Site Administrator, the grid will display only cases assigned to them; however, they can Clear the filter on the Leave Specialist column to see all cases for all Leave Specialists.

From this grid, you can choose to edit an existing case or create a new case.

Employee Case Listing

The third option under the LeaveXpert menu item is Employees.  Clicking on this option will take you to the Employees grid.  By default, this grid will display all Active employees entered in to the LeaveXpert system. From this grid, you can choose to Edit the employee record.  Within the Employee Details screen, you will see a listing of cases associated with that employee.  From this listing you can either add a new case for the employee or edit an existing case for the employee.

Global Search

A global system search box is available on the right-hand side of the Optis navigation bar.  This search box can be used to quickly search for employees and cases within the system.  Numbers entered will be used to search for corresponding employee and case id’s.  Letters entered will be used to search for corresponding employee and Leave Specialist names.

Results are displayed in two sections:  Cases and Employees.  Any search matches will be displayed in these two areas.  You can further filter the search results using the sort and filter functionality on the grid.  From these search results you can choose to edit any discovered case or employee.

Jump to Recent Case

Next to the global search box is the Jump to Recent Case drop-down menu.  This menu includes the last 10 cases that were edited.  Clicking on a highlighted case number will take you directly back to the case screens for the associated case.
