To record a determination decision:

  1. Within the Leave Types section; expand the chosen Leave Type

  2. Click on the Determination tab - this will display any previously recorded Determinations for the leave type

  3. To add a new determination, click on Add Determination

  4. Enter any determination details and click on Save 

  5. The new determination will now be displayed in the Determination grid

 Important Fields in this Section:

  • Determination - options include Approved, Denied, Pending, and Appeal.  This field is used to generate automated LeaveXpert tasks.

  • Determination Sent Date – used to record the date that correspondence was sent to the employee regarding the determination decision.

  • Determination Begin and End Dates – used to record the period of time that corresponds with the determination of approved, pending, or denied.  These fields are used to auto-populate standard LeaveXpert letter templates.

  • Leave Requested Dates - used to record the employee's requested dates of absence.  These fields are used to auto-populate standard LeaveXpert letter templates.

  • Approved Time per Week or per Month – in the case of reduced schedule or intermittent leaves, this field can be used to record the maximum hours per week the employee may be absent
